Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Senior Manual QA Tester in Charlotte, NC for a 12+ month contract. The role is primarily on-site with one remote day per week, focusing on end-to-end integration testing across frontend and backend systems.

You will own test planning, writing test cases, executing manual tests, and reporting in JIRA, with SQL basic queries and API testing. Experience with Octane and defect triage is a plus; the team emphasizes collaboration and a strong testing lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with test management tools and writing test cases.
• Experience across the full testing lifecycle.
• Ability to gather requirements (often via JIRA), write test plans and cases, execute manually, and report results.
• Triaging defects and communicating impact.
• Testing interactions across multiple applications and systems.
• Web services/API testing and basic SQL querying.
• DB experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end integration testing of frontend to backend systems.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Document results and defects in JIRA; drive triage and resolution.
• Support automated testing efforts and identify automation candidates.
