UNION ELECTRIC STEEL CORPORATION is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the QA Department, ensuring quality systems and daily activities meet stringent standards. You will manage compliance with ISO 9001, oversee staffing, and drive corrective actions to maintain product quality and production timelines.

The role requires 4–6 years in QA within heavy manufacturing, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in metallurgy or material science engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance in heavy manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to the ISO 9001 Standard.
• Schedule department staffing to meet quality and production goals.
• Analyze quality reports and non-conformance dispositions to determine causes and coordinate corrective actions.
• Train, mentor, and discipline department personnel.
• Review product quality and approve inspection results for progression to production/shipment.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities to meet specifications within the designated time frame.
• Prepare data on cost of quality and supervise completion of action items.
• Maintain SOPs and company policies.
