Job summary

Sabanci Climate Tech is seeking a QA/QC Engineer/Manager to implement a robust QA/QC system across utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects in Austin, TX, with 50% travel to project sites. You will lead QA/QC activities, oversee subcontractors, and ensure adherence to high-quality standards throughout the construction lifecycle.

The role reports to the Head of Engineering and requires on-site field inspections, documentation integrity, and risk mitigation to enable safe execution and successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction management or related discipline.
• 5+ years of PV and BESS utility-scale project experience including execution and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems and inspection processes for PV/BESS equipment.
• Experience developing and managing ITPs, inspection regimes, and QA/QC documentation.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus depending on location.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, OSHA or other safety standards.
• Willingness to travel and work weekends when required.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop/own QA/QC strategy and QMS across projects.
• Establish, track and report quality KPIs.
• Review/approve Contractor Quality Plans, ITPs, checklists; mitigate risks.
• Schedule and participate in QA/QC meetings with EPCs and subcontractors.
• Conduct site walkdowns and oversee subcontractors for Quality Plan compliance.
• Review testing, submittals, and material reports; issue NCRs as needed.
• Provide weekly/monthly quality performance reporting to stakeholders.
