Job summary

Cumming Group, a leading project and cost management consultancy in the United States, is seeking a QA/QC-focused professional to lead quality assurance across major construction projects. You will develop and implement quality plans, inspect procedures, and coordinate with GCs, design teams, and clients to ensure project standards and successful closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage QA/QC activities across construction projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, codes, and client standards.
  • Develop and implement project quality plans, inspection and testing procedures, checklists, and documentation.
  • Perform site inspections and quality audits, track NCRs and punch lists, drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Coordinate with GCs, subcontractors, engineering/design teams, commissioning teams, and client stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Review installation documentation, testing records, submittals, turnover packages, and closeout docs; large-scale projects preferred.
  • Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and document control.
  • Drive permitting by designing documents for submission to authorities and ensuring timely approvals.
  • Ensure design management aligns with budget, scope, schedule and client standards.
  • Prepare cost and revenue projections.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attend work during normal business hours.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage QA/QC activities across construction projects, ensuring work complies with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and client quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project quality plans, inspection/testing procedures, checklists, and documentation processes throughout construction and closeout.
  • Perform regular site inspections and quality audits, identifying deficiencies, tracking NCRs/punch-list items, and driving corrective actions to closure.
  • Coordinate closely with GCs, subcontractors, engineering/design teams, commissioning teams, and client stakeholders to resolve quality issues and maintain project standards.
  • Review installation documentation, testing records, submittals, turnover packages, and closeout documentation; experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, data center, or mission-critical projects preferred.
  • Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and record keeping of electronic and physical documents.
  • Drive the permitting process by designing team documents to be submitted to various local, state, and federal agencies and ensure the applicable permits are moving through the process efficiently.
  • Ensure the project design management continues to follow the client project documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and client's design standards.
  • Prepare cost and revenue projections.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience Project Management, engineering, or construction management
  • Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED

The salary range for this full-time role is $97,400.00-$129,866.68 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
