Job summary

WB Engineers+Consultants seeks a detail-oriented QA/QC Field Engineer to serve as the on-site representative during data center construction. You will safeguard construction quality to meet operational requirements before turnover.

The role focuses on implementing QA/QC systems, conducting on-site inspections, and coordinating with design engineers, project managers, commissioning teams, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment with specifications and best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience applying QA/QC standards on construction sites.
• Ability to translate design specs into practical field actions.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving on mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement QA/QC standards and checklists to verify work meets specs.
• Perform on-site inspections and quality walkdowns across all disciplines.
• Monitor activities for compliance with plans and drawings and inspect materials/workmanship.
• Identify safety hazards and ensure safe work practices.
• Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and contractors to align with requirements.
• Review MEP designs from operations perspective to improve maintainability.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
• Verify installation quality against contract documents, labeling, torque, and location.
• Provide actionable recommendations to resolve issues with designers and suppliers.
