Job summary
Harbor Healthcare System in Houston seeks a qualified Quality Assurance Nurse for a full-time role. You will oversee quality control of health services and review documentation for accuracy and compliance with orders, regulations, and care plans.
The ideal candidate has a Texas RN license, 5+ years in QA, experience auditing nursing notes and admission packets, and the ability to travel. Strong written and verbal communication is essential, along with a background in hospice or home health care.
Qualifications
- Licensed RN in Texas with QA experience.
- Experience reviewing nurses’ notes for compliance with orders and regulations.
- Experience reviewing admission packets and care plans (POC, recertifications).
- Ability to conduct in-services and train staff on documentation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality control of all health services and review documentation for appropriateness of care.
- Review POC, recertifications, medication profiles, diagnoses updates.
- Conduct in-service trainings on documentation issues as needed.
- Travel to facilities as required.
