Job summary

BMO Capital Markets in New York seeks a Senior QA Analyst to test and validate electronic trading platforms, algorithmic trading solutions, and related controls. You will collaborate with Trading, Quantitative Research, Technology, Risk, and Compliance to ensure quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include test planning, executing tests, defect tracking, and supporting automation initiatives while ensuring audit-ready documentation for regulatory purposes.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA, UAT, or application testing within Capital Markets.
• Knowledge of electronic trading platforms and trading workflows.
• Understanding of algorithmic trading and trading controls.
• Experience working with Trading, Technology, or Quantitative teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business, technical, and control requirements into test cases.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional, UAT, regression, and control testing for trading applications.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Validate new system functionality, enhancements, and releases.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and expected outcomes.
• Support test automation initiatives where appropriate.
• Validate trading and risk management controls.
• Support regulatory, compliance and audit-related testing activities.
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready testing documentation and evidence.
• Provide testing status and release readiness updates.
