Job summary

LPL Financial LLC is seeking a Senior Engineer, Software Development Test (QE) to design, implement, and execute comprehensive quality engineering strategies across enterprise platforms and cloud-native architectures.

This role focuses on automated testing solutions, validating software functionality and performance, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) roles.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C#, or Python).
• Hands-on experience developing automation solutions using TypeScript, Kafka, and AWS cloud services.
• Experience in Agile software development and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and reusable test assets for enterprise applications.
• Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Validate complex integration workflows across multiple enterprise systems and platforms, including cloud-native and hybrid architectures on AWS.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to define testing strategies and quality standards.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects, supporting resolution and validation.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
• Integrate automated testing solutions into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery and release quality.

Education
