Job summary

iCallidus is seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer to lead QA for the VA EHRM program, shaping QA strategy, test planning, and defect resolution across development teams. Location options include Washington, DC, Kansas, or remote, with a Public Trust clearance requirement.

You will drive performance, security, and compliance testing, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with NIST, HIPAA, FISMA and VA standards while delivering test artifacts and metrics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA/testing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in QA tools, test automation frameworks, and defect tracking systems.
• Strong understanding of federal standards (NIST, HIPAA, FISMA) and VA testing requirements.
• Experience with Cerner (Oracle Health) EHR solutions and VA EHRM program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement software QA processes, methodologies, and standards.
• Develop test strategies, plans, and scripts covering unit, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Oversee test execution and defect resolution, ensuring VA standards compliance.
• Coordinate with developers, architects, and business analysts to validate requirements traceability.
• Lead performance, security, and compliance testing.
• Mentor QA engineers and provide technical leadership in test automation.
