Job summary

Nrnptech is seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with 8+ years of software quality assurance to drive testing strategy across the SDLC. You will design test plans, implement automated and manual testing, and mentor junior QA team members to elevate quality.

You will collaborate with developers, product owners, and analysts to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure robust regression testing before releases. Experience with CI/CD is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proven experience in manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools: Postman, SoapUI, Swagger.
• Experience with automation frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Proficient in defect management tools: JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Solid experience in regression testing, smoke testing, and UAT support.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
• Perform manual testing for functional, integration, regression, and system tests.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to support CI and regression testing.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or similar.
• Perform UI automation testing using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Manage defect tracking and reporting through JIRA (or other defect management tools).
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Ensure comprehensive regression testing before each release to maintain product stability.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, review, retrospectives) and contribute to agile testing best practices.
• Advocate for QA best practices and mentor junior QA team members.
• Ensure testing covers performance, usability, security, and compatibility aspects as needed.
