Job summary

PLANIT Group, LLC seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure quality across releases in staging and production environments. You will review requirements, design and execute tests, manage test data, and document results to support production sign-off.

You will collaborate with developers, log defects with ALM/VersionOne, run regression and smoke tests, and verify deployments. This role requires strong test automation experience, including Playwright.

Qualifications

• Eight years or more of experience in software development, QA, or related field.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred.
• Ability to work independently on high-visibility programs or mission-critical aspects.
• Experience mentoring less experienced personnel.
• Extensive knowledge of formal software testing for complex applications.

Responsibilities

• Review test requirements, specifications, and documentation for each release in staging and production.
• Design, execute, and document functional test cases in staging and production.
• Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not break existing functionality.
• Log, track, and prioritize defects found in both staging and production environments using ALM and VersionOne.
• Collaborate with developers to verify defect fixes in staging and production.
• Validate deployment and configuration in staging and production environments.
• Execute smoke tests in production to confirm basic functionality post-deployment.
• Create automated tests using Playwright.
• Prepare and provide comprehensive documentation for production sign-off, including test coverage, results, and outstanding issues.
• Communicate findings and feedback to stakeholders and participate in release meetings.
