Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer to support UCOR in Oak Ridge, TN. The role requires a Bachelor's in QA/Quality or Engineering and 10+ years of QA experience, including NQA-1 guidelines, with U.S.

citizenship and ability to pass a federal background check. You will plan, implement, and oversee QA activities per applicable DOE and QA standards, and interact with multiple organizations to ensure compliance and risk-based decision making.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in quality assurance or related field.
• Experience with NQA-1 guidelines.
• US citizenship and ability to pass federal background checks.
• Health & Safety training and drug/background screening.
• Knowledge of QA principles and regulatory requirements.
• Strong risk-based decision-making and oversight abilities.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple organizations including federal counterparts.
• Proficient written, verbal, and MS Office communication.
• Ability to interpret design docs and measurement methods.
• Familiarity with inspection planning and sampling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct activities to develop and maintain the QA Program.
• Implement QA actions per 10 CFR 830 Subpart A and DOE Order 414.1D using NQA-1 standards.
• Perform QA actions such as causal analysis and corrective actions.
