Job summary

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract role in Milwaukee. The role combines hands-on testing, test automation, quality leadership, and collaboration within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities include developing testing strategies, building automation, and leading testing efforts across the SDLC, with proficiency in API testing and data validation. Strong communication and mentoring skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT, software QA or related fields.
• Experience with manual and automated testing strategies.
• Translate business/technical requirements into test cases and scenarios.
• Experience with Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
• Experience testing APIs and data flows across distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with developers to define and enhance testing strategies and quality practices.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test solutions.
• Lead testing throughout the SDLC from requirements to production release.
• Create and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and data for various testing types.
• Review requirements and designs to identify risks and testability gaps.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Develop QA metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor quality trends.
• Coordinate test environments and data preparation with project teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and design reviews and promote quality practices.
• Mentor team members on testing methodologies and automation.
