Job summary

Seekr is hiring a Senior Manual QA Engineer to partner with our Manual QA Lead and raise the quality bar across Seekr's product suite. You will mentor juniors and champion AI-augmented QA workflows with Claude AI and MCP integrations from day one.

YouDesign test strategies for UI and API, perform advanced manual API testing, and drive release readiness with the team. Seekr supports a hybrid model with in-office days near Austin, TX or Reston, VA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Software QA/Test Engineer with a focus on manual testing.
• Expert-level in designing and executing test cases for UI and API layers.
• Proficient with TestRail and Postman; MCP server integration is a plus.
• Strong QA foundations: equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, exploratory testing.
• Proven ability to mentor junior QA engineers.
• Experience with Claude AI and MCP integrations in QA workflows.
• Solid SDLC knowledge; Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Must reside near Austin, TX or Reston, VA and be in office 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Test strategy & execution: design and run UI/API tests; lead reviews for junior engineers.
• AI tooling & MCP integration: use Claude AI, MCP for test generation and analysis.
• Regression & release ownership: co-own end-to-end release validation & tracking.
• API & technical testing: manual API testing, Postman collections, risk-based coverage.
• Defect management & comms: log defects in JIRA with clear context and actions.
• Requirements analysis: assess ambiguity and improve SDLC processes.
