Job summary

Umain is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our product and technology group in Chicago. You’ll drive automation and test strategy across web and mobile applications, including AI/LLM features, while collaborating with engineers, product managers, and clients.

You’ll design scalable test plans, build automated suites, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable delivery. A strong shift-left mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality engineering with automation.
• Experience testing AI/LLM-based applications.
• Hands-on testing of web and mobile apps.
• Experience with CI/CD integrations.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 security testing.
• Familiarity with test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Design test strategies and acceptance criteria with cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain automated test suites using modern frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Conduct exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Log defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and impact assessments.
• Define testability and collaborate with AI development lifecycles.
