Genesis10 is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a global financial institution in Charlotte, NC. The role emphasizes automation testing with expert-level Java and Selenium to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities include creating test strategies, executing regression and end-to-end tests, and managing defects across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 7+ years of software QA experience, with 5+ years focused on automation testing.
• Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java for test automation development.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks (Page Object Model, data-driven).
• Experience with test execution and reporting tools (TestNG, JUnit).
• Strong API testing automation skills (REST Assured, Postman with automation).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Proficiency with Git/Bitbucket.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases.
• Perform regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Manage defect lifecycle and collaborate with development teams.
• Identify edge cases, risks, and automation gaps with strong analytics.
• Work independently and own automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
