Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a QA Automation Engineer IV in Farmington Hills, Michigan, for an on-site role focused on ensuring the quality of Wealth & Asset Management applications. The role covers manual and automated testing across web apps, APIs, data, integrations, document processing, and AI-enabled capabilities.

You will design automated tests with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress, validate REST APIs, databases, and cloud workflows, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or related roles is required.
• Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments is necessary.
• Proficiency with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress and automated testing frameworks is required.
• Strong experience with Postman, REST API testing, SQL, database validation, Git, GitHub, CI/CD, and AWS is essential.
• Hands-on development experience using Python, Java, or JavaScript is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and API testing.
• Design and maintain automated testing using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Validate frontend applications, backend APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud-based workflows.
• Perform REST API testing using Postman and automated testing frameworks.
• Validate database transactions and data transformations using SQL.
• Test document ingestion, extraction, processing, and downstream workflows.
• Validate AI-enabled capabilities for output accuracy, consistency, traceability, and appropriate error handling.
• Perform positive, negative, boundary, exception, and failure-scenario testing.
• Validate authentication, authorization, role-based access, and application security controls.
• Develop automated tests using Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage defect identification, triage, retesting, and regression validation.
