Job summary

PSI is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure the quality of technology delivered to customers. This full‑time, hybrid role is based at our headquarters in Olathe, KS, with some travel for meetings and events.

The Senior QA Analyst works closely with Software Engineering, solutions, and product teams to ensure testing aligns with business requirements and quality standards. The position emphasizes owning test projects, building automation for backend, UI, and performance, mentoring

Qualifications

  • 5 years of software QA automation experience.
  • Proven QA methods, standards, and processes.
  • Experience with automation testing technologies.
  • Experience with Selenium WebDriver in Java or C#.
  • Experience with version control and ticketing systems (Jira, SVN).
  • Experience with HTML, XML, CSS and accessibility testing is a plus.

About the Role

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring quality of technology that PSI provides to its customers. Senior QA Analysts are senior individual contributors without formal line management responsibility, but they do provide guidance and advice to more junior members of the team. The person in this role works closely with the Software Engineering teams to understand what has been developed. They also work closely with the solutions and product teams to ensure business requirements are being tested.

This is a full‑time permanent role, with flexible hours around core office availability Monday to Friday. The role is performed on a hybrid schedule at our headquarters located at 18000 W 105th St. Olathe, KS 66061, with occasional travel for meetings, events and workshops.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute end‑to‑end testing for key technology platforms and be accountable for test projects.
  • Own responsibility for building, maintaining and scaling test automation for backend, UI, functional and performance/load testing.
  • Provide guidance and support to others across the QA group, especially junior team members.
  • Use principles, guidelines, and best practices as defined, and document testing plans.
  • Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for projects to key stakeholders.
  • Closely work with product teams to understand requirements and other performance SLAs.
  • Review and analyze feature requirements exit criteria and design test scenarios.
  • Perform various types of testing, including but not limited to the following:
    • Functional, regression, integration, backend data validation, usability, end‑to‑end system testing, API testing, performance/stress testing.
  • Ensure bug‑free applications go to production.
  • Write, execute, and manage manual test cases and test plans.
  • Identify, validate, communicate, and track to closure defects and risks to the development team(s) and clearly communicate testing status and QA roadblocks to the QA manager and Product Managers.
  • Interact closely with members of cross‑functional project teams including Development, PMs, and Client Services.
  • Provide the UAT support for business users as well as client.
  • Report defects accurately and manage them to successful resolution via Jira.
  • Maintain and create product knowledge documentation.
  • Investigate and attempt to diagnose customer support reported defects.
  • Participate in sprint planning, scrum, and backlog grooming ceremonies.
  • Validate data from multiple sources like files, XMLs, databases, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements
  • 5 years experience in software QA automation.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of QA methods, standards and processes.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle and with automation testing technologies.
  • Experience with QA automation tools, test automation frameworks, writing and executing the automation scripts with Selenium WebDriver in JAVA or C#.
  • Experience with version management and ticketing systems, e.g. SVN, Jira.
  • Experience with C#, Java, HTML, XML, CSS, and accessibility testing is a huge plus.
