Job summary

SoftServe seeks a data and ML platform engineer to build and evolve scalable data and ML capabilities using Python and cloud-native services. You will work with modern data stacks to deliver reliable ingestion pipelines, transformation frameworks, and infrastructure enabling data-driven decisions for a leading UK retail client.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of data engineers, ML engineers, and platform engineers to implement platform improvements and ensure stable operation

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming skills for production-grade software solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and IAM configuration.
• Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with data and platform components such as ingestion pipelines, transformation frameworks, or ML infrastructure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL for working with relational data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data and platform capabilities including data ingestion pipelines, DBT-based transformation frameworks, ML infrastructure components, monitoring solutions, and governance controls.
• Design and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to deploy and manage cloud resources across environments.
• Perform configuration and management of cloud-based infrastructure and platform components following architecture patterns and standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement platform improvements and ensure stable operation of data and ML services.
• Interact with cross-functional teams to support development, deployment, and monitoring of data and ML solutions.
• Attend technical discussions and contribute to platform design decisions, refining patterns and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data and platform capabilities including data ingestion pipelines, DBT-based transformation frameworks, ML infrastructure components, monitoring solutions, and governance controls aligned with established technical standards
• Design and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to deploy and manage cloud resources that support scalable data and machine learning platforms across multiple environments
• Perform configuration and management of cloud-based infrastructure and platform components while adhering to established architecture patterns and configuration standards
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement platform improvements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure stable operation of data and ML services across environments
• Interact with cross-functional teams including data engineers, ML engineers, and platform teams to support development, deployment, and monitoring of data and machine learning solutions
• Attend technical discussions and contribute to platform design decisions, helping refine patterns, standards, and best practices for data and ML infrastructure

Requirements

• Strong Python programming skills with experience building and maintaining production-grade software solutions
