Job summary

ARUP Laboratories seeks a Software Engineer IV to lead software development efforts, delivering scalable products with a focus on quality and release readiness. The role includes mentoring engineers, defining system design with an emphasis on security and observability, and coordinating with adjacent teams to meet clinical needs.

The engineer will apply broad experience to drive technical direction, maintain code health, and mentor growth within the Biocomputing department (331).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or better.
• Associates or Bachelor's in CS preferred.
• 10+ years of professional technical experience with or without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Architects, builds, and maintains software products and services, launching new systems and shared libraries.
• Mentors engineers across skill levels and partners with adjacent teams.
• Drives software quality by embedding security, observability, and performance.
• Evaluates data modeling, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Defines deployment strategy and release readiness with DevOps and Operations.
