Job summary

Voxel51, a remote-first company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build open source SDKs and enterprise APIs for unstructured data workflows. You will collaborate across backend, frontend, and data teams to deliver scalable features and robust tooling.

You will help scale the enterprise solution across cloud and on‑prem deployments, handling petabytes of data for researchers and Fortune 500 customers while contributing to a thriving open source community.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
BS or MS in computer science or a related field.
Expertise with Python.
Expertise with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DocumentDB, Elasticsearch).
Experience maintaining or contributing to open source projects.
Ability to work in a remote-first, collaborative environment.
Experience with TypeScript is an asset.

Responsibilities

Develop our open source SDK, as well as our enterprise APIs, UIs, and backend systems.
Help us scale our enterprise solution (cloud and on‑prem) to support large AI datasets.
Write production code that is maintainable, flexible, performant, and well tested.
Contribute to the department through tooling, automation, and best practices.
