Job summary

IDS International in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Senior‑Level Python Developer to advance a cybersecurity initiative. You will collaborate with a small team to translate requirements into robust network protocol parsers, fingerprints, and analytics that integrate with customer tools and environments.

Requirements include a CS degree with 8+ years, proficiency in Python and C++, Spark, Jupyter Notebooks, and experience with Jira/Confluence/Git/GitLab; TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with eight (8) years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and Spark.
• Experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Git/GitLab.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to overlay network datasets within an existing architecture using the ABYSS product.
• Integrate parsers and signatures into ABYSS and develop tradecraft for front‑end sensors.
• Develop parsing and processing of network protocols to populate customer data repositories.
• Prototype and develop analytic workflows to automate profiling of network traffic and activity.
• Develop detection and alerting capabilities based on anomalous network behavior and network changes.
