Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience; hands-on Python coding.

• Experience with template engines and Airflow/S3.
• Experience with Python IDEs (VS Code/PyCharm).
• Experience with SOA & Micro-services using REST/SOAP.
• Experience with cloud-ready apps and deployment pipelines on large-scale container platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, SonarQube).
• Proficient in SQL/PLSQL and coding standards; unit testing (JUnit/pytest).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Citi Spread Products (SP) technology is seeking a highly motivated candidate for Python and Full Stack/Web development team that serves Financing and Securitization (F&S) business.

We are looking for a talented professional with a solid technical acumen to support, design and deliver innovative technology solutions for the front office Citi Capital Markets.

The candidate will be a core member of the technology team and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting application projects, delivering them on time and within budget. The candidate handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. The candidate should be able to make judgments and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and subsystems.
• Support Business Users on existing applications
• Robust design to implement Python solutions with hands-on coding skills in Python
• Research, design and develop a self-service reporting tool
• Experience in deployments to the higher environment by using CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage
• Work on bug resolution and application improvements, such as performance and maintainability
• Participate actively in discussions, presentations, and decisions about front-end & server-side development and application design
• Participates in Sprint Planning, Tasking, and Estimation of the assigned work
• Responsible for the development of re-usable services, user interfaces, unit testing, and code reviews
• May occasionally work a non-standard shift, including nights and/or weekends, and/or have on-call responsibilities
  Work closely with our stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment
• Promote and follow solid agile software development practices
• Build for highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable Applications

Required Skills/Experiences:

• 5+ years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience in coding in Python
• Experience in python packaging and shared libraries like Pandas, NumPy
• Experience implementing rest APIs in Python using Microframework like Flask
• Experience with template engine and Airflow/S3
• Experience with Python IDE Visual Studio Code/PyCharm
• Experience working with SOA & Micro-services utilizing REST, SOAP etc.
• Experience with design and implementations of cloud-ready applications and deployment pipelines on large-scale container platform clusters is a plus
• Experience working in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment and familiar with Jenkins, TeamCity, Code Quality Tools SonarQube, etc.
• Proficient in industry standard best practices such as Design Patterns, Coding Standards, Coding modularity, Prototypes etc. Experienced in RDBMS and SQL/PLSQL.
• Unit testing frameworks JUnit, Mockito, pytest. Experience with any BI tool/Reporting tool would be a plus.
• Experience with messaging service would be a plus. Experience in Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift would be a plus
• Experience with JIRA and Bitbucket. Understanding of the SDLC lifecycle for Agile & Waterfall methodologies. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  

Nice to have:

• Recent experience with modern UI development using Angular v4, 5, 6, or 7
• Experience working with Java Script framework such as Reactive Programming concepts
  (RxJs), Angular4.0+, TypeScript, SCSS and HTML5
• Experience in debugging, tuning, and optimizing UI components.
• Experience developing applications in Financial Services industry is preferred
