Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Python Developer with 7–8+ years of hands-on Python experience to design and implement database automation, cloud security, and monitoring solutions in a hybrid Chandler setting.

You will work across on‑premises and cloud environments (AWS/Azure) using Python, Linux, and shell scripting to enhance security controls, audit logging, and access entitlements for major database platforms.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python scripting and automation.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with database technologies and database automation.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MSSQL, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud architecture.
• Understanding of cloud event logging, application logging, and activity monitoring.
• Understanding of security controls, database access, entitlements, and permissions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation, monitoring, data processing, and security initiatives.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts in Linux/Unix environments.
• Work with on-premises databases (Oracle, SQL Server/MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
• Support database automation and monitoring initiatives.
• Collaborate across security, infrastructure, database, and cloud teams to implement automation and monitoring.
