Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking an experienced Python Developer to lead automation and orchestration of complex data workflows on Oracle 19c on‑prem systems. You will replace legacy Perl/PLSQL scheduling with modern Python‑based DAGs using Apache Airflow, ensuring traceability and data quality across scalable pipelines.

The role requires 5 years of Python development, 2 years of Airflow, and expertise with job schedulers.

Qualifications

5 years of Python development experience with automation focus.
2 years of Apache Airflow building production DAGs.
Solid Oracle 19c database knowledge incl. SQL tuning/PLSQL.
Experience moving large data across enterprise systems.
Familiar with RunMyJob, Autosys or similar schedulers.
REST API integrations, SFTP/file movement automation.

Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, and maintain Python‑based automation scripts to orchestrate jobs on Oracle 19c on‑prem systems.
Design and implement Airflow DAGs to manage complex ETL workflows.
Migrate Perl/RunMyJob/PL/SQL scheduling logic into modular Airflow DAGs.
Build custom Airflow operators/sensors for Oracle, REST APIs, file drops, and external triggers.
Implement robust error handling, alerts, and retry mechanisms across pipelines.
Collaborate with DBAs to understand dependencies, critical paths, and data lineage.
Establish job execution logs, audit trails, and SLA dashboards.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and onboarding new jobs.
Assist in CI/CD processes for job rollout and governance.
