Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer to join Corporate Technology - Global Finance Technology in Jersey City.

You will be a seasoned contributor building and maintaining scalable data ingestion, storage, and analytics solutions with Databricks on AWS. You will implement robust pipelines, governance, and cost-optimized Spark workloads while leveraging enterprise AI-assisted development tools and CI/CD practices to deliver reliable, secure data platforms across multiple business

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SDLC experience.
• Experience in data engineering and data pipelines.
• Hands-on with Databricks Lakehouse on AWS.
• Experience with Delta Lake and Spark on Databricks.
• Proven in streaming and batch pipelines.
• Strong AWS fundamentals for data platforms.
• Experience implementing data governance controls in Databricks.
• Reliability: monitoring, incident response, SLO/SLA.
• Responsible AI practices in engineering workflows.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ingestion at scale from AWS sources into Databricks (batch + streaming).
• Build maintainable pipelines using Delta Live Tables or standard Jobs.
• Operationalize workloads with Databricks Workflows/Jobs and retries.
• Enforce data governance, auditing, and lineage across datasets.
• Tune Spark/Delta workloads; manage storage and costs.
• Implement CI/CD and IaC (Terraform) for Databricks and AWS resources.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and code review discipline.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools with peer review and secure coding.
• Contribute reusable patterns to improve team effectiveness.
