Job summary

Kaleidoscope Innovation, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Engineer I to design, build, and deploy cloud-based data and application solutions. You’ll primarily code in Python on Azure with Databricks, and leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery.

Some roles may involve Java/Spring Boot or ML workloads. On-site or hybrid work is available in Phoenix, AZ or Fort Worth, TX with standard DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on experience with Python development.
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies (Azure ML, Azure Container Apps) or IBM Cloud / IKS.
• Working knowledge of Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Proficiency in SQL and shell scripting.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for source control and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications and data pipelines.
• Build and manage data solutions using Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Deploy and operate workloads on Azure (Azure ML, Azure Container Apps) or IBM Cloud / IKS, depending on the team.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and shell scripts to support data processing and automation.
• Develop and maintain Java / Spring Boot services (select positions).
• Build and train ML models with TensorFlow (select positions).
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Use AI-assisted developer tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile team ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and document solutions and best practices.
