Job summary

Tier4 Group is seeking an experienced Python Developer to join a data engineering team. You will design and build scalable Python-based applications and microservices, develop RESTful APIs, and collaborate across architects and engineers in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes cloud skills (AWS), containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, and data-driven backend services to improve data accessibility and automation.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python development.
• Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Strong experience with relational databases and data-driven applications.
• Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and source control tools such as GitLab.
• Experience with Linux environments.
• Familiarity with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, Redis, MQ, or similar solutions.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalable software design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based applications and microservices.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to define technical solutions and product roadmaps.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Implement enhancements and new features based on stakeholder requirements.
• Develop automated processes and workflows to support enterprise data initiatives.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing applications and services.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments.
• Work within an Agile/Scrum team environment.
