Job summary

Intone Inc is seeking an experienced Python Developer to build secure, scalable backend services in Washington. You will design and implement REST APIs, translate complex rules into reliable software, and write automated tests. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of Python experience, strong OOP and API design skills, and hands-on Azure knowledge to deliver production-grade systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional Python development experience delivering backend services.
• Strong proficiency in modern Python, OOP, modular architecture, and PEP 8.
• Hands-on experience building REST APIs with FastAPI or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, scalable, production quality backend apps and calculation services in Python.
• Design and build REST APIs using FastAPI or approved frameworks, with validation, versioning, auth, error handling, and OpenAPI docs.
• Translate complex formulas and business rules into deterministic software components.
• Implement automated unit, integration, regression, and API tests with disciplined defect analysis.
• Identify opportunities for automation using AI, Generative AI, scripting, and tooling.
• Deploy and support apps on Microsoft Azure services using Azure DevOps pipelines, secrets management, logging, and monitoring.
