Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a software engineer to develop, test, and maintain our core product applications. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver features on the platform, focusing on secure software engineering practices and scalability.

The role requires 5+ years in software engineering, strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and modern DevOps. Hybrid work options apply in Scottsdale and other major cities; eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years direct experience in Software Engineering.
• Proficient with Git source control and Git flow branching model.
• Spring / Spring Boot framework is required.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices.
• Familiarity writing automated tests.
• Proficient with SQL.
• Proficient in RESTful service design.
• Experience with Docker/ Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Background and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Participates in discussion and implementation around complex capabilities.
• Develops complex features and capabilities to enhance the Early Warning core product offerings.
• Managing source code using Git.
• Reviewing, and approving pull requests ensuring code quality remains high.
• Querying platform data using SQL-based DBs.
• Working on complex Java Web Services using Spring Boot.
• Document complex details and decisions in Confluence.
• Building automated tests alongside sprint work that is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline, considering environment variables.
• Able to troubleshoot complex bugs that may arise during development.
• Support the company’s commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
• Incumbents will perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
