Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III in its Corporate Technology division in Plano, TX. You will design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way, supporting firm objectives with modern programming languages and data tooling.

You will work on crafting secure production code, integrating AI-assisted development tools, and producing architecture artifacts while contributing to data-driven improvements across large data sets.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with demonstrated ability to evaluate, validate, and refine outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables while ensuring peer reviews and secure coding standards.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met by code.
• Gathers and analyzes data to visualize and report for continuous improvement of software applications.
