Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) seeks a Senior Manager, Pharmacovigilance Scientist to lead PVRM activities for assigned programs and to collaborate with global teams. This role drives safety governance, signal detection, and risk management across investigational and marketed products.

You will coordinate SMT meetings, review safety data, and support regulatory submissions while promoting a Patient First safety culture within SMPA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, life science, or related scientific field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or related pharma/biotech experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional activities and collaboration across R&D and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Safety Management Team (SMT) meetings and provide safety input to key documents.
• Manage signal detection, evaluation, and safety data analysis across programs.
• Oversee safety monitoring of investigational and marketed products and support risk-benefit assessments.
• Coordinate with Regulatory, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, and Data Management on safety deliverables.
• Prepare and review safety documents, including IBs, protocols, and regulatory responses.
