Job summary

CAMS Renewable Services LLC is hiring a Lead Technician for a 200MW PV site near Italy, TX. The role focuses on managing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting PV and BOP electrical systems, and handling warranty claims with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The successful candidate will lead CAMS onsite staff and contractors, coordinate maintenance schedules, monitor SCADA trends, and document activities to meet O&M contract deliverables while advancing EHS and QEW programs.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend electrical schematics and manuals.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PV systems.
• Electrical knowledge with at least three years' experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Lift objects weighing 30 pounds.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Competent with Microsoft Office.
• NFPA 70e, Substation Level I & II, First Aid/CPR.
• Certified Thermal Imaging within 12 months.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite CAMS employees and contractors safely with documentation and warranty requirements.
• Schedule and perform PV and BOP maintenance.
• Utilize CAMS work order system for planned and corrective maintenance.
• Prepare switching orders and operate PV/BOP systems.
• Monitor SCADA for trends and diagnostics.
• Document warranty claims and time entries for events.
• Direct junior technicians on installations and electrical testing.
• Prepare reports for O&M deliverables.
• Maintain adherence to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Travel up to 25% for training at neighboring sites.
