Job summary

The Defense Logistics Agency in Virginia Portsmouth is seeking a Supervisory Purchasing Agent to supervise Purchasing Agents below SAT for the procurement of non-nuclear material. You will oversee purchasing methods including Government-wide commercial purchase cards, purchase orders, BPAs, and delivery orders.

You will supervise pre-award and post-award contract administration, analyzing cost, technical, and risk tradeoffs of contractor proposals.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in supervising Purchasing Agents and evaluating contractor proposals.
• Experience with government purchasing methods including GPC, BPA, and delivery orders.
• Ability to analyze cost, technical, and risk tradeoffs in contracting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Purchasing Agents who execute actions under SAT for non-nuclear material.
• Oversee purchasing methods: GPC, purchase orders, BPA, and delivery orders.
• Oversee pre-award and post-award contract administration and analyze proposals.
• Act as AO for local purchase card program and authorize LOAs to procure materiel quickly.
• Serve as a warranted CO with authority to obligate up to SAT.
