Job summary

United CNC Machining in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Purchasing Agent to manage raw materials, tooling and outside processing to support on-time production. You will own POs from requisition to receipt, track orders and ensure supplier performance aligns with AS9100D and ITAR requirements.

Ideal candidates read engineering drawings, manage ERP/MRP workflows, and negotiate terms with suppliers while guarding confidential pricing and NDA agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Supply Chain Management preferred, and 3 or more years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, including raw material, tooling or outside processing for machined parts.

Responsibilities

• Quote and source raw material, outside processing and MROsupplies.
• Issue purchase orders in the ERP system with correctspecifications, revisions, quality clauses and NADCAP/DFARS flow-downs.
• Track open orders, expedite as needed, and flag deliveryrisks to Production and Planning early.
• Coordinate outside processing (heat treat, plating,anodize, coating, NDT), including shipment and return of parts.
• Maintain the Approved Supplier List with Quality, andverify supplier approvals (AS9100 and Nadcap)and customer-approved sources before ordering.
• Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance, followup on corrective actions, and develop alternate sources for critical items.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and terms, and giveEstimating current pricing for customer quotes.
• Review material and process certifications to keep everylot traceable, and buy only from authorized sources to prevent counterfeitparts.
• Handle classified ITAR-controlled technical data and CUIunder the company's export control and CMMC procedures.
• Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies, and keeppurchasing records audit-ready.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
