Job summary

Pacific Fusion in California is seeking an experienced manufacturing/process engineer to drive end-to-end pulser module assembly, from work instructions to acceptance. You will transition components from design to production for new product introduction and partner with technicians to keep builds moving.

You will lead schedule management with Microsoft Project, provide manufacturing feedback to design, drive DFm improvements, resolve non-conformances, and scale operations as the company moves

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years manufacturing or process engineering in a hands-on production environment.
  • Experience mentoring technicians on a production floor.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and documentation.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and non-conformance processes.
  • Experience with high voltage/pulsed power hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end manufacturing processes for pulser module assembly from instructions to acceptance.
  • Manage transition of new components from design to production for NPI.
  • Work with technicians to provide fast solutions to keep builds progressing.
  • Support production docs handoff and issue resolution.
  • Manage build schedule using Microsoft Project and communicate across teams.
  • Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineering and drive DFm improvements.
  • Identify root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Define tooling, fixtures, and equipment requirements for safe, repeatable assembly.
  • Track production metrics and drive initiatives to hit targets.
  • Support scale-up from low-rate to higher-volume production.
  • Define steps to completion to aid schedule management.
