Cays Inc. is seeking a Security & Compliance Analyst to support retirement benefits systems for public sector employees. The role emphasizes implementing security controls, documenting requirements, and ensuring adherence to state regulations and governance standards.

You will collaborate across departments to refine security requirements, participate in testing, and maintain audit-ready documentation for compliance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security or related field.
• 7+ years of professional security/compliance/risk management experience in public sector or regulated environments.
• Experience developing, documenting, and evaluating security controls and governance processes.
• Experience supporting security assessments, audits, policy reviews, and control validations.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF and NIST 800-53 in public sector contexts.
• Experience integrating data protection, access controls, and regulatory adherence.
• Proficiency with Agile SDLC practices incorporating security.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps and GRC tools for security documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and validate security processes, system requirements, and interagency interactions.
• Collaborate with program offices and technical teams to refine security and compliance requirements.
• Create audit-ready documentation, including security requirements, workflows, and use cases.
• Support solution design and participate in testing (UAT) to verify controls.
• Recommend improvements to strengthen security posture and process efficiency.
• Monitor project deliverables to align with security objectives and regulatory mandates.
• Assist in developing training materials on security and compliance for staff.
