Riot Platforms, Inc. is seeking a senior public policy leader to shape Riot's growth by evaluating development opportunities, building durable community partnerships, and guiding projects through local and state approvals.

This role requires strategic, politically astute leadership to represent Riot with officials, regulators, utilities, and stakeholders, while guiding site assessments and policy risk analyses. Travel across the U.S. will be required.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in public policy, government affairs, external affairs, infrastructure development, permitting, community engagement, or related fields.
• Experience in data center, energy, infrastructure, utility, regulatory, or local-government landscapes is highly preferred.
• Ability to translate technical issues into clear, credible language for nontechnical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Lead public-policy and community-engagement strategy for Riot development opportunities.
• Conduct early-stage assessment of potential sites and communities across political, regulatory, infrastructure, and stakeholder factors.
• Advise internal teams on permits, policy risks, and stakeholder strategy.
• Build relationships with officials, regulators, utilities, and community leaders.
• Represent Riot at public hearings, meetings, and industry events.
• Develop strategies to secure approvals and local support for initiatives.
• Monitor legislation and public-policy developments relevant to Riot’s plans.
• Draft public comments, testimony, briefing materials, and policy analyses.
• Coordinate with consultants, land-use professionals, and legal counsel as needed.
• Support authentic, long-term community-partnership approaches and digital engagement when appropriate.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate across the organization.
