AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Public Information Specialist to join our Public Outreach Group in Miami, FL. The role leads public outreach efforts for major projects and coordinates staff to ensure project offices operate per contract.

You will manage client relationships and coordinate briefings, publications, and plans with the client. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in public relations/outreach, plus strong written and presentation skills to convey key messages

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field; 8+ years of professional experience in public relations/public outreach.
• Knowledge of public relations and public involvement techniques; knowledge of media relations strategies.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages public outreach for major projects.
• Coordinates staff to ensure project office operates per contract with client.
• Leads public outreach goals and advises client on best communication methods.
• Manages direct client relationship for public outreach.
• Coordinates government briefings and project presentations to external groups.
• Monitors public outreach expenses.
• Organizes project information files and coordinates information exchange with client and project team.
• Produces and coordinates publications, brochures, newsletters, and web content; determines key messages and themes with client.
• Develops and implements project Public Outreach Plans with the client.
• Produces daily, weekly and monthly outreach reports.
• May supervise support staff and less experienced professionals.
