The California Victim Compensation Board (CalVCB) seeks an Attorney III to advise on complex legal matters and perform adjudications, litigation, negotiations, and legal research with independence.

This role offers hybrid telework opportunities, requiring in-person work at least four days per week. Candidates should have strong written and oral advocacy skills and knowledge of criminal and administrative law to support CalVCB’s mission.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctor degree and law license required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in criminal law, administrative law, or civil litigation.
• Ability to research, analyze, apply and interpret policies, regulations, and laws.
• Strong advocacy and negotiation abilities.

Aufgaben

• Advise on complex and sensitive legal matters affecting CalVCB.
• Perform administrative adjudications, litigation, investigations, hearings, and negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs, opinions, and recommendations.
• Provide guidance under supervision of the Chief Counsel and Attorney Supervisor.
