The Public Affairs Officer Senior will develop, manage, and execute comprehensive communications strategies, serving as an advisor to senior leadership on all public affairs matters. The role covers news/media relations, executive communications, internal and external outreach, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism, or related field required or 8+ years direct public affairs/journalism experience.
• Experience leading complex communication initiatives and advising senior executives.
• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with proven speechwriting ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term strategic communications plans aligned with agency goals.
• Oversee news/media relations, press materials, and website/social media content with AP Style.
• Plan and manage high-level external events, engagement campaigns, and briefing material.
• Provide copy editing and quality assurance for public affairs products and executive communications.
