Job summary

The Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) is seeking a licensed Psychologist to oversee facility behavioral healthcare functions. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a solid background and a passion to habilitate youth.

Specifically, the Psychologist will develop and perform assessments, supervise interns, ensure compliance with professional standards, and provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy while coordinating with psychiatry and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• License to practice psychology as issued by Ohio State Board of Psychology per Section 4732.12 or 4732.15 (A) of Ohio Revised Code.
• Provide lead work/clinical supervision to student interns.
• Document activities and prepare required reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform psychological assessments and evaluations.
• Interview, administer tests, score and interpret tests.
• Prepare reports based on findings and formulate treatment plans.
• Attend unit treatment team meetings representing the psychological component.
• Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy rehabilitation sessions.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
