Job summary
Texas Health and Human Services is seeking a Psychiatrist V (Medical Director) at Lubbock Psychiatric Center to provide strategic clinical leadership and oversee comprehensive psychiatric and medical services for inpatients. Qualifications
- Must be licensed (unrestricted) as a medical doctor by the State of Texas.
- Board Certification or Board eligibility in Psychiatry (TX).
- Must possess a DEA registration certificate.
- NPI number and enrollment as Medicaid/Medicare Part B provider.
Responsibilities
- Directs clinical activities and oversight of psychiatric and medical treatment in the state hospital.
- Leads clinical quality assurance and performance improvement projects at the hospital level.
- Develops policies and procedures to admit, access, and administer specialized psychiatric and medical treatments.
- Supervises subordinate psychiatrists and nurse practitioners and directs care through a patient-centered approach.
