Job summary

OVP Health Care is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting and to serve as a clinical preceptor for staff. The role requires maintaining licensure, CPR, and board certification, with optional ALS/PALS and Data 2000 waiver.

Responsibilities include adherence to HIPAA and all regulatory guidelines, accurate charting and coding, and collaboration with administration to address clinical and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Medical License through the State in which they practice.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (CPR).
• MaintainAdvanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatrics ALS (PALS) preferred.
• Maintain Board Certification and DEA Certification.
• Maintain Data 2000 Waiver (if applicable).
• Comply with licensure/certification requirements per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical services to patients in outpatient setting.
• Serves as educational preceptor for clinical staff.
• Maintains charts and proper coding/charging for services.
• Complies with HIPAA, accreditation, CLIA, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Adheres to internal policies and procedures and coordinates with Administration.
• Ensures timely patient care with an expected caseload and efficient scheduling.
• Stays current with medical protocols and clinical standards.
