Job summary

Quant in New York is seeking a Senior Protocol Engineer to own significant workstreams within the smart-contract release train (TD Coin, Settlement Orchestrator, Fiat Relay, Fusion Root, Orchestrator Factory) and guide Protocol Engineers through implementation.

You will design components, maintain the Fusion upstream diff against Optimism, and participate in on-call rotations and incident bridges while supporting audit preparation and remediation efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in blockchain/DLT, smart-contract engineering or backend distributed systems.
• Strong Solidity/EVM and integration skills.
• Experience with rollup/upstream-diff maintenance (Optimism stack or comparable).
• Comfort carrying production on-call responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and build components within the smart-contract release train.
• Contribute to maintaining and testing the Fusion-specific upstream diff against Optimism.
• Guide Protocol Engineers through implementation and review their work.
• Carry the on-call escalation rotation and join incident bridges for protocol-behavior issues.
• Support external audit preparation and remediation for assigned components.
