Job summary

Maricopa County Attorney's Office seeks a Prosecutor II - Charging Attorney to review law enforcement submittals, determine charging decisions, and coordinate with courts and victims. The role supports justice courts across the county and requires careful analysis of evidence and statutes.

The ideal candidate is admitted to the Arizona Bar, with at least 2.5 years prosecutorial experience, and comfort working in a fast-paced, hybrid environment with digital MCAO systems.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a law school ABA-accredited is required.
• Two and a half years of experience as a prosecutor is required.
• Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Review submittals from law enforcement and make charging decisions within applicable time limits.
• Communicate charging decisions to crime victims, law enforcement, the court, and community partners.
• Navigate MCAO and Superior Court databases to support charging decisions and court appearances.
