Job summary

The Riverside County District Attorney's Office seeks Deputy District Attorneys at the II, III or IV levels to fill vacancies in the Colorado River Office in Blythe, California.

These classifications will perform the more demanding and difficult professional legal work in the prosecution of criminal and related civil cases; prepare and present cases before any court within the State; conduct specialized research; and perform other related duties.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Experience in criminal law preferred.
• Ability to analyze legal problems and present clear arguments.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, researches, and prepares cases for prosecution.
• Presents cases before courts within the State.
• Advises law enforcement and negotiates disposition of charges.
• Conducts legal research and applies statutes and case law.
• May supervise deputies and train others.
• Directs planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects.
• Represents the office in complex criminal matters.
