Descrição da oferta de emprego

Senior Propulsion Engineer - Own the solid rocket motor powering two interceptor platforms

El Segundo, California | On-site

Opportunity Summary

This role owns the solid rocket motor across two interceptor products, covering requirements, grain design, case, nozzle, igniter, static fire, and flight. You will report directly to the technical co-founder and serve as the propulsion authority on the program. The motor must deliver the total impulse and thrust profile the vehicle needs, fit within the dimensional limits of existing launch systems, and survive the full storage and flight environment. You will partner closely with the founders and with mechanical, GNC, aerodynamics, and avionics engineers, and you will guide the propulsion engineers who join the team as the program scales.

About Us

We are a seed-stage, venture-backed defense technology company building affordable, modular interceptors for air and missile defense, with surface-launched and space-based platforms in development. The team has already demonstrated autonomous intercepts and is moving quickly from prototype hardware into flight testing from our South Bay facility. We are a small group of engineers and operators who design, build, and test in-house, with a clear path toward scaled production for government customers.
