Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Denver is seeking an experienced Propulsion Design Engineer to help shape future launch vehicles. You will develop and evaluate propulsion concepts, lead system‑level trade studies, and ensure integration with other design disciplines.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, 6+ years of related experience, and DoD TS/SCI eligibility with US citizenship. You will mentor AP engineers, coordinate with suppliers, and support prototype hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in propulsion system design and analysis principles.
• DoD TS/SCI eligibility and US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead small teams to create and evaluate propulsion system concepts.
• Lead or perform propulsion system level trade studies to optimize designs.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure mission needs are met.
• Present concepts and analysis at design reviews.
• Lead or support prototype hardware build and test.
• Provide propulsion engineering design and systems integration.
• Coordinate with suppliers and develop specifications and interface docs.
• Mentor AP propulsion engineers and coordinate across teams.
