Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking an experienced Property Underwriter to underwrite complex property risks nationwide, within delegated authority, and align with corporate goals.

You will review applications, analyze financial documents, and apply pricing techniques per filings. The role emphasizes broker and client relationship development and delivering quality service across new and renewal business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) required.
• 7+ years of related multi-line background required.
• Existing producer relationships preferred.
• Must have demonstrated negotiation and production skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Underwrites profitable property risks within delegated underwriting authority.
• Reviews applications and requirements to determine acceptability of risk in accordance with guidelines.
• Monitors underwriting results, premium and loss trends within the book of business.
• Delivers quality service to brokers and customers within service metrics for new, renewal and interim requests.
• Develops and cultivates broker and client relationships in assigned territory.
• Prepares or analyzes information on adverse underwriting decisions and rate appeals to drive results.
• Documents accounts per regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Executes producer and client visits to maintain and increase new business.
• Enhances technical expertise in Industrial and Global property underwriting and mentors staff.
